This review will discuss if you should buy the new MacBook Air 2011 in Singapore which is released in July this year. According to gadgetbox from msnbc, the 13″ Mac Air was given a full 5 stars rating! This latest model is better than the 2010 model in several ways.
Apple has done it again, this apple laptop is ultra thin and light, no exaggeration, but it is as thin as your iPhone 4 and wakes up instantly when you lift the lid of the Mac Air, in addition to a new backlit keyword and double speed increase with the new Core i5 processor. You are also able to connect to some super high-speed devices such as Apple’s Thunderbolt display when connected to the Thunderbolt port.
As compared to the older model, the new MacBook Air gives you a brighter and sharper display which means you will enjoy surfing the internet or typing your documents even more. The panel is bright enough to produce a nice wide viewing angles.

As a current user of the older MacBook Air 13″, I’m very happy with the price/performance ratio and my only regret is that I did not buy this awesome machine earlier! If you are fed up with the constant updates and virus/spam/worms attack from using windows laptop, then it’s good news for you since the new MacBook Air 2011 is to be integrated with the Intel Sandy bridge processor.
All this means is that the new MacBook Air will have a better and faster performance while having a longer battery life where a single charge can last you longer in the day without having the hassle of finding a power point to charge the battery. This new MacBook will also be shipped with the latest OS X Lion together with a high speed thunderbolt port.
According to reliable sources, Apple choose to use Intel core 2 duo processor in the current MacBook Air so that it can work seamlessly with the more powerful Nvidia graphics chipset instead of Intel own chipset which is not as good in terms of graphics processing power and speed. But with the introduction of Sandy bridge processor, the Intel integrated graphics proccesing power is on par with Nvidia.
It is widely expected that the new MacBook Air 2011 will be a hit in the market and you may not be able to get a unit on the actual release day unless you preorder from the online store or join the queue overnight outside those Apple reseller stores.
